You Know You're In Seattle When...

Having only been in Seattle for a month now,  I am certainly no expert on the Emerald City.  But, there are a few things I have picked up on pretty quick.  Enjoy!

1. Bumper stickers say “Make Tea Not War” instead of “Don’t Mess With Texas”

2. Vegan donuts taste better than the regular donuts

3. It can rain all day, and you will still need to water your plants when you get home

4. Pedestrians get mad at cars for entering the crosswalk as opposed to cars getting mad at pedestrians for entering the crosswalk

5. HR at your company sends out more emails about the status of the broken espresso machine than anything else

6. It’s actually uncool to do what everyone else does (Who knew?!)

7. Matching eyebrow rings are considered stylish, but matching clothes are not

8. Owning a PC is considered blasphemy

9. People wear big earrings…only in Seattle, the earrings are actually IN the ear lobe as opposed to dangling  FROM the ear lobe.

10. You have no A/C in your apartment…and you’re still alive

11. The thermometer never gets above 80…and it’s not broken (As of last week, Seattle had only had 78 minutes of summer.  This means only 78 minutes thus far, has the temperature gotten to 80 degrees or above).

12. You ask someone for directions and they give you bus routes instead of street names

13. Last but not least, you don’t see these on your morning walk...
